Entomology

BIO2440 «Entomologie»

This course involves a broad and necessarily shallow overview of the diverse fields under the entomology rubric. The evolution, classification, and diversity of insects debuts the course, followed by such diverse topics as insect physiology, ecology, genomics, and pest management. The first day of the course is held at the University of Montreal Laurentians Biological Research Station (SBL). A three-hour lab is held on Thursday mornings followed by a two-hour lecture section in the afternoon during the fall semester.

The students publish their reports on arthropod species collected at the SBL on the Ouellet-Robert Entomological Collection blog.

Here is a table of historical grades.
